21 Day Fix Extreme: Week 3 of 3

We did it! Three weeks ago we started so today I’m excited to share with you our 21 Day Fix Extreme results.

The goal of this program is to help you shred up and shed off those final pounds to see the most serious results in the shortest time possible. We ate 100% clean, with “no treats.”  This program was exactly what we needed to get back on track with our fitness and nutrition. The results we achieved in such a short period of time with simple healthy nutrition and fitness rocked our world.

After examining our physical results, our fatty (problem) areas had the most significant changes. As the 21 Day Fix Extreme promised, we both shed fat and did not lose muscle. The majority of inches lost were from our waist and buttocks and we were pleased that more naturally muscular areas remained toned and tight. The strength component of the 21 Day Fix Extreme was key to keep our metabolism elevated and our results beautiful.

And the very cool thing is that 21 Days is NOT a lot of time… so considering the results we achieved in a natural and healthy way, we are beyond impressed.

We gained incredible personal clarity toward our blood sugar control (how insulin, exercise and food affect blood sugar). This information is priceless. We observed how alternative energy sources (ex. protein) affect blood sugar, how a carb depletion regimen with early morning workouts significantly impacts blood sugar, and more.

It’s amazing how one can become accustomed to their own level of normal. One of the most significant examples of this is in regard to diabetes. There are so many undiagnosed cases right now because over time individuals get used to having a higher blood sugar… the change is gradual so it goes unnoticed. This leads to dangerous outcomes.

The same goes with portion control. Over time, Rob and I were getting used to eating large portions. The 21 Day Fix Extreme allowed us to see that this much food isn’t necessary. We get along just fine eating smaller, more appropriate amounts. It all comes down to balance. Because of the way the 21 Day Fix is set up, we eat according to the 21 Day Fix Extreme nutrition plan and get exactly what we need. It’s awesome and what we’ve learned will make a lasting difference to our health.

Habitual Food Dependence

One of the biggest struggles people face with shedding weight is the fact that it’s hard to break negative habits – like snacking. For example, how many times do you buy a coffee just because it’s what you always do at your 10am break? Is this necessary? Do you find yourself buying that coffee, not because you are in “need” but simply because it’s what you always do?

Rob and I had many food habits. For example, we were used to eating strawberries for dessert, and snacks and just about whenever we were a little hungry. Nope! Not anymore. This program helped us see what we “need” and eat according to plan with lots of room to shed negative food behaviors. No, there’s nothing wrong with strawberries… but what if you eat them “just because” a few times each day because that’s just what you do? Yup, it all adds up. I’m excited that my habitual food dependence is GONE.

Summary

In summary, the 21 Day Fix Extreme is an awesome program. We got results at every level. I’m back in my skinny jeans, I feel fantastic and my blood sugars are better than ever. I’m no longer dependent on food PLUS I’ve learned to control my hunger too.
