Have you noticed your blood sugars behave differently when you compare walking vs. running? I do. What’s happening and why does my blood sugar drop more with walking? This week I’m chatting about that plus I’m discussing a few reasons why walking (yes, walking!) is so effective for a healthy happy life.

To the right, you’ll see the effect a simple walk had on my blood glucose reading yesterday.

What is your favorite way to stay fit? I love a combination of strength training, running and walks with Rob.

This Week’s Deliciously Diabetic Recipe

This weekend we’re celebrating my husband’s birthday. Friday night, we had a party so I had to find a way to juggle my full time job with the fact that I’d have a full house of hungry friends right after work so, I chose my favorite  simple recipes for the occasion. One of those recipes was my Slow-Cooker Cocktail Meatballs. Are you a little shocked with the ingredients? Believe me – they are wonderful!

No one will believe you when you say that you made them with low-sugar grape jelly!

Yield: 50 meatballs
